You may only order as much as your physician prescribes for you. Also, all prescription shipments are limited to a maximum 90-day supply per medication. 7. What are ALL the costs associated with placing an order with CanadaDrugPharmacy.com?

For each order placed, your total charges include the cost of the medications plus shipping and handling fees for each package sent.  Other fees may apply for select value-added services.

8. How do Canadian drugs compare to drugs from other countries in terms of safety and effectiveness?

The Canadian government has very strict requirements for the manufacturing of medication in Canada. These requirements are very similar to the requirements in many other leading first world nations. In fact, some of the drugs sold in Canada are actually manufactured in the US and repackaged for sale in Canada. Canadian generic medications are all manufactured in Canada under Canada's stringent requirements.

11. What’s the difference between generic drugs and brand name drugs?

When a drug company first invents a drug (i.e. Prozac) that company is the only one allowed to make that drug for a certain number of years (approximately 10 years in the US and 5-7 years in Canada). After this time period, other companies are allowed to make the same drug. These drugs are called generics. The original drug (i.e. Prozac) is called a brand name drug. Brand name drugs and their generics are identical in terms of active ingredients. The generic pills may look different (because they are made by a different company) but inside is exactly the same active ingredient which works in exactly the same way. The only difference between brand name drugs and generic drugs is that generics are always less expensive.

23. Why do the pills I receive from you look different from the ones I get from my local pharmacy?

Brand name pills normally look different from generic versions, despite the fact that they include the same active ingredient and work in the exact same way. If you order a generic version of your pill medication from us, do not expect it to look exactly like the brand name version that you're used to. Not only that, but in Canada, there are some brand name pills that look a bit different than they do in your own country, even though they contain the same active ingredient and are manufactured by the exact same company. In the case of two different generics of the same drug, they will look different if they are manufactured by two different companies.

24. What are the names of the companies that manufacture generic drugs in Canada?

The manufacturing of generic drugs in Canada are subject to the same strict approval and regulation as brand name drugs, and are used by millions of Canadians on a daily basis.  The manufacturers of these generics include large, well-established and respected companies.  Major manufacturers include Apotex, GenPharm, NovoPharm, PharmaScience, Taro, RatioPharm and Sabex.

25. What's the difference between an initial online prescription order and a refill prescription order?

When placing refill orders, no other information needs to be provided, unless there has been a change in your shipping address, contact information, health, in the strengths or quantities of the medications you're taking, or in your preferred method of payment (in which case, this information needs to be provided).  To place your refill order, simply call us toll-free at 1-877-275-1525 or email us at orders@canadadrugpharmacy.com.  Be sure to provide us with your full name, telephone number and the details of the drugs you want us to refill (i.e. name, strength and quantity).

Once your prescription has expired (1 year from the date it was originally written), it will be necessary to provide us with a copy of a new prescription issued by your doctor in order for us to continue filling your prescription.

26. How come I can't download your order forms, documents or other promotional offers on your website?

If you are unable to download materials off of our website, it may be because your computer does not have the proper software.  The order forms on our website are in both format and in MS Word format.  In order to download and properly open these documents, you'll need to have these programs.  This may also be the reason why you are having trouble downloading other documents or promotional offers from our website.

To obtain a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader so that you may open Adobe PDF files click here. If you are unable to get these programs, please feel free to contact customer service at 1-877-275-1525.  A customer service representative would be happy to fax or mail you all the materials you need.

27. What happens if my package gets lost?

If your order becomes lost in the mail, we will send you a replacement at no charge. However, you will be held liable for the lost package if it is determined that you have provided us with an incorrect mailing address or if you failed to provide us with a winter/summer address.
