The ingredient of Camphor in Bengay Ultra stimulates nerve endings, which relieve the topical sensations of pain. Methyl Salicylate is derived from plants such as wintergreen and peppermint and works similarly to aspirin for providing relief of pain. Menthol works to provide pain relief by penetrating into the skin to provide a deep and soothing, warming sensation.

Bengay Muscle Pain Relief Ultra Strength provides temporary relief of minor muscle and joint aches and pains. It is fast acting and provides a warming effect that penetrates deeply into muscles and joints and lasts for hours. It can be used to provide soothing relief of arthritis, strains, sprains, bruises and simple backaches. It is for external use only.

Bengay Ultra should not be used on damaged skin or wounds, with a heating pad or on children under the age of 12 who have arthritis-like conditions. Speak with a physician before using if the affected area has redness or swelling. When using Bengay Muscle Pain Relief Ultra, do not bandage tightly and avoid contact with mucous membranes and eyes.

Discontinue use and seek medical attention if the symptoms remain longer than 7 days or symptoms worsen, if excessive skin irritation occurs or if symptoms go away and return within a few days. Always keep out of reach of children to avoid accidental swallowing. If ingested, contact a Poison Control Center or seek medical attention immediately.
