Additional Information about Extra Strength Robaxacet

Robaxacet Extra Strength should not be taken by individuals who are hypersensitive to acetaminophen or Methocarbamol. Because Methocarbamol may depress the central nervous system, individuals should avoid operating motor vehicles and machinery until the effects of this medication are known. It is also recommended to not combine alcohol or other central nervous system depressants with this medication. Follow recommended dosages carefully as excessive dosages could result in severe liver damage from acetaminophen toxicity.

Side effects from the ingredient Methocarbamol include nausea, lightheadedness, drowsiness and dizziness. Rare side effects that have been associated with this medication include nasal congestion, rash, headache and blurred vision. Acetaminophen side effects include vomiting, nausea and diarrhea. On rare occasions, hypersensitivity reactions include hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenic purpura and agranulocytosis.

Recommended dosage for Robaxacet Tablets/Caplets in children over 12 and adults is two tablets/caplets 4 times a day. In severe conditions, three tablets/caplets may be taken 4 times a day for 1 to 3 days. Dosages should be taken with food to prevent gastrointestinal discomfort.

Pregnant or breast feeding mothers should speak with their physicians before taking Robaxacet Extra Strength. It is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Acetaminophen taken in large doses can cause liver damage in some patients. Keep this and all medications out of reach of children. Early signs and symptoms of a potential overdose of acetaminophen include nausea and vomiting, excessive sweating and fatigue.
