Additional Information about Thrive Gum
Thrive Nicotine Gum is not recommended for individuals under the age of 18. Those who are non-smokers, pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant as well as those who breast-feed should not use Thrive Nicotine Gum. Check with a physician before using Thrive Nicotine Gum if suffering from high blood pressure, circulatory problems, jaw problems, mouth or dental conditions, kidney or liver disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, asthma, ulcers, adrenal gland tumor, breathing disorders or are currently on a low-salt diet.
The use of nicotine products, which include cigarettes, chewing tobacco, snuff or other stop-smoking aids should not be combined with Thrive Nicotine Gum. Recommended usage is for 12 weeks.
Always keep gum away from pets and children as gum contains enough nicotine to be fatal to a child if they accidentally chew it. This includes used and unused gum.
To use Thrive Nicotine Gum, chew the gum slowly, stopping when the mouth begins to tingle. Place the gum between the gum and cheek and allow it to remain there until the tingly sensation has disappeared. Begin chewing the gum again a few more times until the sensation occurs again. Place the gum in a different area of the mouth. After 30 minutes, remove the gum or when the tingly sensation is no longer felt. If cravings return that are strong, another piece of gum may be chewed within one hour. To avoid side effects, avoid chewing one piece after another as nausea, heartburn or hiccups may occur. For optimum results, use 9 pieces of gum each day for 6 weeks. Do not chew more than 24 pieces each day.
Less serious side effects of Thrive include dry mouth, nausea, hiccups, throat and mouth soreness, mild dizziness, joint and muscle pain, headache and changes in taste. If serious side effects occur such as severe vomiting, extreme dizziness, wheezing, difficult breathing, irregular heartbeat or tightness in the chest, stop using the gum and seek medical attention at once. Allergic reactions can include swelling of the lips, throat, tongue and face, hives and difficult breathing. It any of these signs occur, seek emergency help immediately.
